Many individuals with migraine headaches rely greatly on pharmaceuticals to manage the pain. But migraine medicine has a long list of unwanted effects, including vomiting, dizziness, nausea, and even more headaches if the medicine is overused.
Fortunately, there are natural treatments available to relieve migraines without the negative effects of medication. A new study suggests that chiropractic and massage adjustments could provide substantial relief.
The treatment managed as portion of the study involved extending, gentle massage, and chiropractic adjustments of the neck and upper back. The treatment provided fast-acting relief. Only one hour after receiving the treatment, patients were asked to rate their pain level on a range of 1 to 10. There were no major unwanted effects reported by the participants.
Further research should be run to completely comprehend the changing causes of migraines. This study adds to previous research by showing that chiropractic treatments can be a successful treatment for many migraine patients.
